But since 2025, a new contender has taken its place on the Cannes calendar: the Ethereum Community Conference, better known as EthCC. This year, Ethereum France returns and has secured the Palais des Festivals for three consecutive editions — 2026, 2027, 2028. Cannes is turning toward the world of blockchain.

What exactly isEthcc

The Ethereum Community Conference is Europe’s largest gathering dedicated to the Ethereum blockchain. This is not a general tech trade show. It’s a community-driven event, designed by ecosystem professionals for ecosystem professionals: developers, entrepreneurs, investors, financial institutions.

The 2025 edition, the first held in Cannes, brought together over 10,000 participants, 6,500 accredited attendees, and 72 sponsors from around the world. Vitalik Buterin took the stage, and Robinhood made a flagship announcement.

The 2026 edition of EthCC will take place from March 30 to April 2 at the Palais des Festivals, with a clear shift toward the institutionalization of the Ethereum ecosystem, as banks and traditional financial players accelerate their adoption of blockchain. The event notably features The Agora, a forum dedicated to institutional players, as well as an EthCC Week of side events unfolding before and after the main conference.

In short: four intense days, and a high-level international audience.
